GOD DWELLING IN AND AMONG US In the Old Testament we are shown the infinitesimal details of how God wanted the Tabernacle to be built. In Exodus, Leviticus and Numbers we are shown overwhelming details on the construction and utilization of the Tabernacle.  That Tabernacle was a tangible sign to God's people that He was going to dwell with them. He had chosen them to live in His Presence, not as some religious addendum to life, but as the very ground as essence of life itself. That's what it meant to be God's own people. The Tabernacle was ordered and precise, exact and beautiful, holy because His Presence with them was the very thing that made them holy, set apart to know and be filled with the Life of God. He would make them holy so that in all the detail and liturgical precision of the worship He was calling them into, they would know that their life was grounded ONLY in Who God is. Life could only be what God intended for us to know. The Tabernacle was a tangible mean...

FROM START TO FINISH Philippians 1:6 "And I am sure of this, that He who began a good work in you will bring it to completion at the day of Jesus Christ." This is an eternal truth: salvation is of the LORD. There is an Old Testament verse that states, " Seeing eyes and hearing ears are from the Lord. " ( Proverbs 20:12) God is the one who make the spiritually deaf to hear His voice, to understand His Word. He causes the spiritually blind to see the desperate condition of the human heart and its deadness apart from the intervention of God. He alone saves, rescues, redeems, restores and renews, giving eternal Life where there was only spiritual death at work in a person's life. This work in us is possible only because God has finished the work of redemption through the Life, Death, Resurrection and Ascension of the Lord Jesus Christ. All of salvation, from the moment a person receives new life being born again by the Holy Spirit, till that salvation is brought ...
FORGIVENESS Forgiveness flows from humility. Humility is a gift from God when He causes us to see just how desperate our own hearts were before God and how desperately we need a Savior both now and always. If Jesus Christ has forgiven you by His grace through the gift of faith: to trust in all He is, all He has done, and all He is doing, you are called to forgive as HE has forgiven you. He paid the full price for your sin and rebellion long before you were born. He purchased forgiveness for you by His death on a Roman cross over 2,000 years ago.  Grace humbles you so that you may forgive and release those who have sinned against you before they even admitted it. Jesus Christ forgave those gathered around His cross mocking and cursing Him. They didn't admit, let alone confess the heinous nature of their sin before He forgave them. Being forgiven by God, there can exist no condemnation for you. The Lord will never rub your nose in your "stuff" for He's taken it away. Yo...
ABIDING IN GOD'S PRESENCE For those who belong to Jesus Christ, the Presence of the Lord is a holy given by the promise of the Lord, Himself. He has become life within us by His grace. That is the reality for all who belong to Jesus Christ by grace through faith. His Presence with us is His Life is in us. His Presence that never leaves or forsakes us.  That eternal reality can never be altered by our circumstances nor our emotional state. Romans 8:35-39 " Can anything ever separate us from Christ’s love? Does it mean He no longer loves us if we have trouble or calamity, or are persecuted, or hungry, or destitute, or in danger, or threatened with death?   (As the Scriptures say, “For your sake we are killed every day; we are being slaughtered like sheep.”)   No, despite all these things, overwhelming victory is ours through Christ, who loved us.  And I am convinced that nothing can ever separate us from God’s love. Neither death nor life, neither angels nor de...
INFINITELY MORE Ephesians 3:20-21 " Now all glory to God, Who is able, through His mighty power at work within us, to accomplish infinitely more than we might ask or think.   Glory to Him in the church and in Christ Jesus through all generations forever and ever! Amen." In the Gospel of John, many of His followers turned away because of the covenant commitment He required of those who would follow Him. That covenant declared that what was to happen to Jesus would also happen to them. We, too, must lay our lives down and choose the will and way of God's Kingdom over all else. Those in the crowd knew that in Jerusalem, the Jewish religious leaders were plotting and planning Jesus' destruction. To follow Jesus to that degree required denying self and the thrall of the world and its ways, even to the point of laying one's life down by refusing to deny the Lord and His salvation. Jesus turned to the 12 and asked, " Are you also going to leave?" ( John 6:67-...
ROMANS 8:13   " For if you live according to the flesh, you will die;  but if by the Spirit you put to death the misdeeds of the flesh,  you will live." You cannot sanctify sin. The residue left from the cutting away of your old sin-nature is called "the flesh" in the New Testament. It is that twisted ball of urges and impulses associated with your old way of living, thinking and acting.  The "flesh" does all it can to collude with old sin-habits to try and keep them as active as they were before you became a new creation in Christ Jesus. It's always to same old demonic lie, "You really need something more than what God has provided for your living fully." Colossians 2:11-15 " When you came to Christ, you were “circumcised,” but not by a physical procedure. Christ performed a spiritual circumcision—the cutting away of your sinful nature.   For you were buried with Christ when you were baptized. And with Him you were raised to new life...
NEW CREATIONS This is all about looking at the truth that we have been given a new nature, a new heart and spirit…that we are not spiritual schizophrenics with two opposing natures battling in us all the time. Colossians 2:11-15 Ephesians 3:20-21 Ephesians 2:18-21 Romans 12:103 Ephesians 1:1 Ephesians 2:4-7 Ephesians 3:17-18 Galatians 5:24-25 Galatians 3:27
