Relational Bridges

  THE PROBLEM The fundamental problem that humanity has is not political, but spiritual. Apart from God in Christ Jesus, humanity is essentially, at the heart of what it means to be truly human, dead...separated from the Life of God. BUT, God has made a way, a singular and unique way through the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ to give us, by His grace and through faith that will believe Him, new hearts and new spirits. We can be indwelled by the Holy Spirit; God's Life, once again, to be life within us.

  “Social Justice” has become an undefined measuring rod whereby virtue signaling can be justified. Here is a clear warning, prophetic in nature, from C. S. Lewis written in the pages of his work entitled “Screwtape Letters “ ….. Screwtape to Wormwood: “We do want, and want very much, to make men treat Christianity as a means; preferably, of course, as a means to their own advancement, but, failing that, as a means to anything––even to social justice. The thing to do is to get a man at first to value social justice as a thing which the Enemy [God] demands, and then work him on to the stage at which he values Christianity because it may produce social justice. For the Enemy (God) will not be used as a convenience. Men or nations who think they can revive the Faith in order to make a good society might just as well think they can use the stairs of Heaven as a short cut to the nearest chemist’s shop.  MORE THAN A "FINE-TUNING" IS NEEDED The prevailing cultural mindset of our day would have you actually believe that all you need in your life is some "fine-tuning" because there's nothing really that broken in you. It's a well-crafted lie and appeals to a gangrenous pride that has infected humanity since Adam and Eve blamed God for their own rebellious folly and its lasting effect on all of humanity. Every philosophical system, every religious system, every person when left to their own thought in isolation admits that something is wrong. Things are not what they should be relationally, nationally, emotionally, physically, psychologically, politically, etc. People, we do not need a "fine-tuning". When something is dead, it doesn't need another coat of makeup to spruce it up.
