GOD'S WORD IS FAITHFUL
In the Gospel of Mark, chapter 4, verse 35, Jesus tells His disciples they are going to cross over the Sea of Galilee to get to the other side. He clearly stated that the "other side" was their destination. In the process of crossing, a massive storm came roaring down on them with waves so huge, it threatened to sink the boat. Did the storm alter what Jesus had said? Was the other side now just wistful thinking? No. Satan always tries to stop God's people from simply trusting what God has said. The enemy attempts to distract us with variations on the storm, hoping that we will not remember what the Lord has clearly told us. Jesus simply stood up in the boat and told the wind and waves to "Stop it!" and all became calm in an instant. What Jesus Christ has told us will come to pass. Yes, the storm was a challenge, but it couldn't modify God's Word. When the Lord speaks to you from His Word, making a promise a certainty in your heart by the Holy Spirit, don't let the trouble that will come change you resolve that God eternally keeps His promises. What He says, when He speaks, is a given you can put your full weight on.
