 ULTIMATE LOSS

The only unbearable loss in life would be to lose the Lord God and His Presence by refusing to believe Him. Without Him, life on earth now is the only “heaven” you will ever know. But surrendering your life to Him by believing in Jesus Christ and what God has completed for you through the life, death, resurrection and ascension of the Lord Jesus, life on this earth is the only “hell” you will ever know. When you believe Him, the Lord comes to live His very Life within you in the Holy Spirit’s power. You then begin to live forgiven, reconciled to God, rescued, redeemed and made a heir of God. He promises to work the transforming power of His salvation in you and to bring to completion that good work He began when you believed.

  PRAYER Jesus Christ NEVER taught on what we call "unanswered prayer." James wrote that a divided loyalty between trusting the Lord God for life and at the same time relying on the world's systems to get what you want will result in you not getting anything from God you may have prayed about. God will never reinforce the unbelief that flows from divided loyalty. THAT is not unanswered prayer. That is God saying, "No." to your request. God saying, "No." to your requests is not unanswered prayer. It is His grace. His "No" is just what I would want if I knew what He knows. The Lord also answers with, "Not now; not yet." because we are not yet prepared to receive what we think we need. God works in us both to will and to do His good pleasure.   DEVOTE YOURSELF TO PRAYER Colossians 4:2 "Devote yourselves to prayer with an alert mind and a thankful heart." The word "devote" in the Old Testament refers to the whole burnt offering. To devote something was to surrender everything, nothing held back, to be consumed by the Lord. Devoted to prayer entails giving your whole self to prayer in utter surrender of all you are to God in intentional communication, not religious meanderings. It is a seeking of the Lord, asking the Holy Spirit to reveal the Presence of God to you, to enter into the throne room in Jesus' name.
