INTERCESION
Matthew 15:29-30
"Jesus left there and went along the Sea of Galilee. Then He went up on a mountainside and sat down. Great crowds came to Him, bringing the lame, the blind, the crippled, the mute and many others, and laid them at His feet; and He healed them."
THAT is the essence of intercession. We bring people to the Lord in prayer and lay them at His feet. He is the Healer, the Delivered, the Restorer, the Mender of lives. Our part is to bring them to the Lord as best we can and trust Him to meet their deepest needs and to save them.
Like the crowds, we must come to Him. It's not in the articulate nature of our petitions or prayers. It is the confidence and faith He has caused to take root in us and grow that has led us to bring folk who need Him to Him. He alone can save, heal, and make whole again those who are lost and broken.
