NUMBERS 7:89

"Whenever Moses went into the Tabernacle to speak with the Lord, he heard the Voice speaking to him from between the two cherubim above the Ark's cover - that rests on the Ark of the Covenant. The Lord spoke to him from there."

God still speaks to His people from the place of Atonement, through the sacrifice of Jesus Christ once offered for all time. That sacrifice has consecrated all who will believe God and the eternal work of salvation He has accomplished through the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ.

Moses' relationship with God was a "shadow", a "type" of the relationship God desires to have with mankind. God, Himself, is the One who unites us to Himself. The Holy Spirit unites us to the death of Jesus Christ where our sin is fully and eternally dealt with so we can now walk with God in the power of Jesus' resurrection. The Holy Spirit has united believers with the resurrection of Jesus Christ giving us a new nature, a new heart, and a new spirit, anointed with power from on High enabling us to follow, to trust, and obey.

God makes us His heirs by giving us the Holy Spirit to be Life IN us, not merely "with" us. A Roman citizen in Jesus' day, wanting to designate his heir would hold a formal ceremony of adopting his own flesh and blood. You see, the Roman citizen could disown a naturally born child but could NEVER disown an adopted child. God wanting us to be sure of His eternal commitment and covenant with us in Christ Jesus has given us the Spirit of adoption, the Holy Spirit, to be His Life within us replacing our spiritual deadness with Eternal Life.

Romans 8:31-39 "What shall we say about such wonderful things as these? If God is for us, who can ever be against us? Since He did not spare even His own Son but gave Him up for us all, won’t He also give us everything else? Who dares accuse us whom God has chosen for His own? No one—for God himself has given us right standing with Himself. Who then will condemn us? No one—for Christ Jesus died for us and was raised to life for us, and He is sitting in the place of honor at God’s right hand, pleading for us. Can anything ever separate us from Christ’s love? Does it mean He no longer loves us if we have trouble or calamity, or are persecuted, or hungry, or destitute, or in danger, or threatened with death? (As the Scriptures say, “For Your sake we are killed every day; we are being slaughtered like sheep.”) No, despite all these things, overwhelming victory is ours through Christ, who loved us. And I am convinced that nothing can ever separate us from God’s love. Neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither our fears for today nor our worries about tomorrow—not even the powers of hell can separate us from God’s love. No power in the sky above or in the earth below—indeed, nothing in all creation will ever be able to separate us from the love of God that is revealed in Christ Jesus our Lord."

This is why believers in Christ Jesus are eternally secure. It's why our live can be transformed and are continually being changed, being conformed to the image of Jesus Christ. We can speak to God, face-to-face as His covenant sons and daughters, having access to the grace in which we now stand, being at peace with God by God's doing. (Romans 5:1-2)

God will never reject, never forsake one to whom He has given Eternal Life through the Atonement of Jesus' sacrifice on the cross...not for our sins only, but for the sins of the whole world. That is why all may come in humility, repentance and faith and become new creations in Christ Jesus. Old things pass away, and all things become new, and THIS is the work of God who has reconciled us to Himself by the blood of Lamb of God who has taken away the sin of the world.

That is why, as Christ's ambassadors we plead with folks still estranged from God to be reconciled to Him, for the work necessary for that reconciliation to take place has already been finished in eternal completeness. People can now come in repentance and faith and receive Eternal Life and speak to God even more intimately than Moses ever knew.

Believe and receive!

PRAYER Jesus Christ NEVER taught on what we call "unanswered prayer." James wrote that a divided loyalty between trusting the Lord God for life and at the same time relying on the world's systems to get what you want will result in you not getting anything from God you may have prayed about. God will never reinforce the unbelief that flows from divided loyalty. THAT is not unanswered prayer. That is God saying, "No." to your request. God saying, "No." to your requests is not unanswered prayer. It is His grace. His "No" is just what I would want if I knew what He knows. The Lord also answers with, "Not now; not yet." because we are not yet prepared to receive what we think we need. God works in us both to will and to do His good pleasure. If I am praying for something God wants to do in me and the Holy Spirit is working in me preparing me to receive what God has in store, His "Not yet." is NOT unanswered prayer. As we see...
HEBREWS 10:1-2, 10-18 "The sacrifices under that system ( the Old Covenant) were repeated again and again, year after year, but they were never able to provide perfect cleansing for those who came to worship.   If they could have provided perfect cleansing, the sacrifices would have stopped, for the worshipers would have been purified once for all time, and their feelings of guilt would have disappeared.   For God’s will was for us to be made holy by the sacrifice of the body of Jesus Christ, once for all time.  Under the Old Covenant, the priest stands and ministers before the altar day after day, offering the same sacrifices again and again, which can never take away sins.   But our High Priest offered Himself to God as a single sacrifice for sins, good for all time. Then He sat down in the place of honor at God’s right hand.   There He waits until His enemies are humbled and made a footstool under His feet.   For by that one offering He forever m...
From Oswald Chambers today: "If the Spirit of God detects anything in you that is wrong, He doesn’t ask you to make it right; He only asks you to accept the light of truth, and then He will make it right. A child of the light will confess sin instantly and stand completely open before God. But a child of the darkness will say, “Oh, I can explain that.” When the light shines and the Spirit brings conviction of sin, be a child of the light. Confess your wrongdoing, and God will deal with it. If, however, you try to vindicate yourself, you prove yourself to be a child of the darkness. What is the proof that carnality has gone? Never deceive yourself; when carnality is gone you will know it— it is the most real thing you can imagine. And God will see to it that you have a number of opportunities to prove to yourself the miracle of His grace. The proof is in a very practical test. You will find yourself saying, “If this had happened before, I would have had the spirit of resentment!”...
