I have an ancient foe. He hates all that God has done and is doing. Where people are being rescued by the grace of God, you'll find this adversary doing his damn-level best to hinder it or stop it if he could. He tries to bring division and reproach among God's people by playing on the very worst of human nature: envy, pride, fear, jealousy, resentment and unforgiveness. One thing I do know, where there's flak, you know you're over the target. Hold on to the One who rescued you, o war-torn soul. God is sovereign and never caught off guard; never bested by His enemies. I have a Savior who has crushed my ancient foe.

Given ministry opportunities to have the Holy Spirit confirm the Word of God with demonstration of the Holy Spirit and power, they rely on how they feel, their experience thus far and not on the reality that the will of God in mission and ministry is either done in the Holy Spirit’s Power or not at all. Our capacity to do what Jesus does has nothing to do with our imagined capacity, but upon the indwelling power of God through is.
