CRISIS...BITTER OR BETTER A real crisis in your life will either make you bitter or better. The determining factor is whether in the midst of the crisis you either move toward the Lord God or away from Him. 2 Corinthians 4:14, 16-18 " We know that God, who raised the Lord Jesus,   will also raise us with Jesus and present us to Himself together with you.   That is why we never give up. Though our bodies are dying, our spirits are being renewed every day.   For our present troubles are small and won’t last very long. Yet they produce for us a glory that vastly outweighs them and will last forever!   So, we don’t look at the troubles we can see now; rather, we fix our gaze on things that cannot be seen. For the things we see now will soon be gone, but the things we cannot see will last forever." In crisis, and at all times as well, we resist becoming bitter when we fix our eyes on the Lord Jesus. We do not rely on what we think, feel or see because we are s...
THERE IS NEWNESS There is a life that God has promised to all who will but believe Him. Those who believe Him, receive from Him what He has done for us in Christ Jesus. It is the power that causes us to become new creations, born from above, united to the Resurrection Life of Jesus Christ. It is that Life that will become life within us by the Holy Spirit. Where our death once resided and enslaved us to fear, His resurrection completely displaces death. The Holy Spirit puts us into the death of Jesus Christ where sin, death, hell and the grave were defeated. The Holy Spirit then puts us into the Resurrection of Jesus Christ where we begin to live from His Life working in us. God causes us to grow in this Grace, to be transformed by Him...newness of Life!
DECEPTION AND THE DOCTRINE OF DEMONS The claims of "transgenderism" are the work of satanic deception. They are lies that state that God somehow made a mistake in creating someone. Demonic deception wants a person to always believe that God cannot be trusted. It is important to state here that Satan is a liar and the father of lies. When demons lie, they are speaking the dialect of "home". The lie is stated that identity is to be grounded in one's feelings without reference to biological or scientific fact as God has established it from the beginning of creation. Essentially, it is an extension of the ongoing rebellion against God being who He is. It is an assault that proves to be deadly in the lives of those who embrace the lie that the One who created us does not understand or know us. Transgenderism enthrones emotions flowing from a non-functioning, broken moral compass. Satan's desire is to mar, to mutilate, deface and destroy the image of God in a hum...
BELIEVING HIM...WAITING UPON HIM Psalm 106:13, 24 " But they soon forgot His works. They did not wait to hear what He wanted them to do." " The people refused to enter the pleasant land,  for they wouldn’t believe His promise to care for them." God's people had just witnessed His deliverance from Egypt and saw with their own eyes the Red Sea part for them to cross over. They then saw God's judgement on the armies of the Pharoah as the waters came back and covered them all.  Mere days passed when they "forgot" what He had done for them. They didn't think it important to retain in their present memory what God had done. They would not extrapolate on His faithfulness at one juncture and trust Him to continue to be for them Who he had been just a few days prior.  They refused to wait on God's counsel. The length on their vision was less than the length of their noses because they limited God in their minds based on what they could see as poss...
INTERCESION Matthew 15:29-30 " Jesus left there and went along the Sea of Galilee. Then He went up on a mountainside and sat down.   Great crowds came to Him, bringing the lame, the blind, the crippled, the mute and many others, and laid them at His feet; and He healed them." THAT is the essence of intercession. We bring people to the Lord in prayer and lay them at His feet. He is the Healer, the Delivered, the Restorer, the Mender of lives. Our part is to bring them to the Lord as best we can and trust Him to meet their deepest needs and to save them. Like the crowds, we must come to Him. It's not in the articulate nature of our petitions or prayers. It is the confidence and faith He has caused to take root in us and grow that has led us to bring folk who need Him to Him. He alone can save, heal, and make whole again those who are lost and broken.
WHY? Why would anyone want to require adherence to the Law as something necessary for salvation? Why would someone want to attempt to add ANYTHING to the sovereign work of redemption already completed in Jesus Christ by His death and resurrection? The only answer is pride. We wantonly want to believe that we have somehow had a part in helping God to save us by keeping rules. That, my friend, is the doctrine of demons.
WHAT HE DID Jessus Christ called me to Himself when I was dead in my sin. He had paid for all of it, in surrender, I received His mercy, He forgave me and washed all my sin away; not in part, but the whole of it. Why would He not give grace now to set me free from anything that would hinder His Life in me now that I am His?
Matthew 20:33 Jesus asked these blind men, "What do you want me to do for you?" And they said, "Lord, we want to see!" So, Jesus touched their eyes, and they could see. Upon seeing Him, they followed Him. You can ask the Lord Jesus to give you eyes to see and He will. For "seeing eyes and hearing ears are from the Lord."
Beware of What You Hear Demons whisper, "You're not worthy..." and what they intend for you to hear in that is, "God can't/won't help or save you now!" The simple truth is that you are not worthy, and your salvation has nothing to do with your being worthy of it, for you never will be. The basis of your salvation is grounded solely and eternally in Who Jesus Christ is and what He has accomplished on your behalf by His crucifixion and resurrection from the dead. It is because of Jesus Christ that you have a hope that WILL endure.
