FOLLOWER OF JESUS CHRIST, YOU ARE NOT AN ACCIDENT. Unbeliever...you are no accident either
A. Nothing is hidden. Psalm 139:1-12
1 O Lord, you have examined my heart
and know everything about me.
2 You know when I sit down or stand up.
You know my thoughts even when I’m far away.
3 You see me when I travel
and when I rest at home.
You know everything I do.
4 You know what I am going to say
even before I say it, Lord.
5 You go before me and follow me.
You place your hand of blessing on my head.
6 Such knowledge is too wonderful for me,
too great for me to understand!
7 I can never escape from Your Spirit!
I can never get away from Your presence!
8 If I go up to heaven, You are there;
if I go down to the grave, You are there.
9 If I ride the wings of the morning,
if I dwell by the farthest oceans,
10 even there Your hand will guide me,
and Your strength will support me.
11 I could ask the darkness to hide me
and the light around me to become night—
12 but even in darkness I cannot hide from You.
To You the night shines as bright as day.
Darkness and light are the same to You.
B. You are designed by God. Therefore, your life has purpose you are to know. Psalm 139:13-18
13 You made all the delicate, inner parts of my body and knit me together in my mother’s womb.
14 Thank You for making me so wonderfully complex!
Your workmanship is marvelous—how well I know it.
15 You watched me as I was being formed in utter seclusion,
as I was woven together in the dark of the womb.
16 You saw me before I was born.
Every day of my life was recorded in Your book.
Every moment was laid out before a single day had passed.
17 How precious are Your thoughts about me, O God. They cannot
be numbered!
18 I can’t even count them; they outnumber the grains of sand! And when I wake up, You are still with me!
C. Your were known even before you were fashioned. Your life has purpose. Jeremiah 1:4-9
4 The Lord gave me this message:
5 “I knew you before I formed you in your mother’s womb.
Before you were born I set you apart
and appointed you as my prophet to the nations.”
6 “O Sovereign Lord,” I said, “I can’t speak for you! I’m too young!”
7 The Lord replied, “Don’t say, ‘I’m too young,’ for you must go wherever I send you and say whatever I tell you. 8 And don’t be afraid of the people, for I will be with you and will protect you. I, the Lord, have spoken!” 9 Then the Lord reached out and touched my mouth and said, “Look, I have put My Words in your mouth!”
D. Even in difficult time that feel like you are in exile, you have a future and a hope. Jeremiah 29:11-14
11 For I know the plans I have for you,” says the Lord. “They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope. 12 In those days when you pray, I will listen. 13 If you look for me wholeheartedly, you will find me. 14 I will be found by you,” says the Lord. “I will end your captivity and restore your fortunes. I will gather you out of the nations where I sent you and will bring you home again to your own land.”
E. As a new creation in Christ Jesus, God has foreordained good things for you to live out. Eph. 2:10
10 For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things He planned for us long ago.
F. The work God has begun in you, He will bring to completion. He won't fail! Philippians 1:6
6 And I am certain that God, who began the good work within you, will continue His work until it is finally finished on the day when Christ Jesus returns.
G. It is God working in us that enables us to follow Him. Philippians 2:13
13 For God is working in you, giving you the desire and the power to do what pleases Him.
